Auto and motorcycle parts, powder coated or Cerakoted in Concord.

Wheels are what we are best known for. The rest of the car is here too: brake calipers, suspension, brackets, frames and engine-bay parts, and Cerakote for the parts that run hot.

  • The right finish for the part. Heat and tight clearances point to Cerakote; impact, road debris and large surfaces point to powder coat. We choose by the job, not by what we happen to sell.
  • Hot parts handled properly. Exhaust manifolds, headers and turbo housings run hotter than powder survives. Cerakote C Series is applied here, in house.
  • One stop for the whole car. Wheels, calipers and engine-bay parts in the same shop, and the car can stay with us for the wheels.

Cerakote or powder coat?

Not sure? That is a normal question, and we are happy to answer it from a photo.

Choose Cerakote when

  • The part runs hot: exhaust, headers, turbo housings.
  • The part fits tight against another, so a thin film matters.
  • It sees solvents, fuel or chemicals.

Choose powder coat when

  • The part takes hits: road debris, curb contact, knocks.
  • It is large, or a wheel, frame or bracket.
  • It is part of a batch.

Honest limits

Two things we say plainly. We apply Cerakote C Series only. And we do not work on chrome wheels: powder cannot bond to chrome. For parts that need a thin, high-heat finish instead, see Cerakote vs powder coating.

I contacted finish logic about powder coating some parts for my toyota supra. Being unfamiliar with the process of different types of finishes they advised me on the best options for my parts. Needless to say they were very knowledgeable and informative.

Quick answers

Powder coat or Cerakote for my part?

It usually comes down to heat and clearance, not looks. Exhaust manifolds, headers and turbo housings run hotter than any powder will survive, so they point to Cerakote. Brake calipers, wheels, suspension and brackets are normally powder coated, because thickness and toughness matter more there than heat resistance. Cerakote or powder coating, in detail.

Which Cerakote do you apply?

Cerakote C Series, the air-cure line, in our Concord shop. Air-cure is the relevant detail: it does not need oven temperatures, which is often exactly why a part needs Cerakote rather than powder. Glacier Black and Glacier Silver are among the popular shades.

Can you coat my brake calipers?

Yes. Customers have had calipers done in red alongside their wheels. Calipers are normally powder coated rather than Cerakoted.

Do you do motorcycle parts?

Yes: frames, swingarms, sub frames, wheels, springs and handlebars. Customers have brought us bike frames, dirt bike frames and Harley handlebars, as well as parts for a classic Mustang.

Can I just drop the car off?

For wheels, yes: BAR-licensed and insured, with your car stored indoors the whole time. Wheel coating.

How long does it take?

Around two weeks is standard, and we can move faster on request. One customer had a small part re-sprayed overnight, and delivered. CONFIRM: Cerakote turnaround
